M - is for the many things she gave me.
O - means only that she’s growing old.
T - is for the tears she shed to save me.
H - is for her heart as pure as Gold.
E - is for her eyes of love light shining.
R - is for the right she’ll always be.
Put them all together they spell Mother, The one who means the whole world to me.
Now rather or not you are from my childhood church in Chicago, you may or may not be familiar with this song. However, being the daughter of the Choir Directress, I had no choice but to learn it, live it and sing it.
It’s Mother’s Day weekend everyone. My forth Mother’s Day without my mom. The first was by far the worst and whereas it still stings and hurts like hell. I am dealing with the loss.
Dealing with such an incredible loss really takes one through an emotional roller coster of feelings on this holiday. Therefore because everyday was and will always be a day that I love and appreciate this one woman that truly meant the world to me, I can only repeat what I put in a song in her appreciation.
"If I Could Write A Letter To Heaven"
It's been too long since I've seen your face. Nothing could ever take your place.
Never wanted to say goodbye, now all I seem to do is cry.
Bridge:
I know I should be moving on,
it's not the same since you've been gone. I try to manage how I feel,
this is a pain that just won't heal.
everything just fell apart,
it's like a whole is in my heart. Piercing Pain I can't explain.
I miss you.
Chorus:
if I could write a letter to heaven, i'd let you know I will be fine.
If I could write a letter to heaven, I'd tell you that I miss your smile. If I could write a letter to heaven, I think
about you every day
if I could write a letter to heaven. I would say...
Somehow I will figure it out. Without you here I have my doubts.
Foolishness took you away from me.
I'm trying not to hold onto this hate in me.
Remember the gifts you'd give I know that I have to forgive.
I wish that I had more time with you by my side.
It's not the same since you've been gone I know that I got to be strong.
Won't tell you of my troubles cause You already know.
Chorus:
if I could write a letter to heaven, i'd let you know I will be fine.
If I could write a letter to heaven,
I tell you that I miss your smile.
If I could write a letter to heaven, I'd tell how I think of you every day if I could write a letter to heaven.
I would say...
If I could write a letter to heaven,
I let you know I will be fine.
If I could write a letter to heaven,
I tell you you're always on my mind. If I could write a letter to heaven,
I think about you every day.
If I could write a letter to heaven, I would simply say...
I love you
I adore you I miss you I love you
Thank you
thank you
thank you
I just want to say thank you
